To The Greatest Man Ever

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Merciful.

Assalaamu'alaikum, everybody!!

Alhamdilliaah, I've finished my 1st sem of degree in UTMKL, continuing my studies there after finishing my diploma last April.  Exams were ok and very short since I only had 2 papers 2 sit for so I'm on a very early semester break.

I'm proud to say that I'm starting my break and also 2015 with the birthday of one of THE MOST and probably THE most influential man of all time.

Nabi Muhammad S.A.W

He was a man of the highest standards.  Even before being a prophet, he was known as al-Amiin because of his truthfulness, never telling a lie.  He asked a group of people if he was to say that an army was behind a hill, coming to attack, would that group believe him, everybody said yes for he never tell lies.

Orphaned at a young age, not being able to read or write, he strived in everything that he did which included him being a merchant under Saidatina Khadijah r.a who later became his wife.  This led him to become not only a man who was regarded highly but also a family man.

One fateful night, he was chosen to spread the message of Islam not only in Arabia but to the whole World which included him sending letters to leaders of other empires.  He was a man of peace.  He went to Taif to spread da'wah but instead he got thrown rocks and faeces from the people there.  The Angel Jibril (Gabriel) a.s offered him to crush them with the hills near them at the time but the Prophet (PBUH) said no.  Instead he prayed for everyone did wrong to him.  Don't get the wrong idea.  Despite being a man of peace, he knows when to act.  Our Prophet (PBUH) was also a captain or general in the ranks of an army.  People nowadays, Westerners especially, consider him a warmongering man for starting wars but how misled are they for the Muslims, who started off with mostly, poor people and slaves, were the oppressed ones.  Allah S.W.T gave permission to act and strike them.  He was firm yet fought in the best of manners according to Islamic law.

Michael Hart, a WESTERNER who sees through clear eyes the history of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) ranked Nabi S.A.W as the Most Influential Person in History, having this to say.........

Mind you, he's not the only who thinks highly of our Prophet (PBUH).  Some key figures in history including Mahatma Gandhi looked up to him................

Not only that even a certain footballer, despite not being Muslim, thinks highly of him....

Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez
Hopefully the quote is authentic.  Pardon me if it's not.

How I wish to see our Prophet (PBUH) in my dreams.  Literally.  It is IMPOSSIBLE for Shaitan to take his form.  So if you dream of our Prophet (PBUH), it IS him.  My source told me that he will either smile at you OR turn away from you if you dream of him.  Hopefully he will never turn away from us if we dream of him.  Na'uudzubillaah.  Imagine just having the chance to see him.  The closest I got to him was when I went for 'Umrah in 2002.  I saw his tomb in Masjid Nabawi.  It might be the closest I could get but I'll take it.

His speech was soft and gentle like a mother stroking her child.  And his mercy and compassion were most radiant when he smiled.  He lived in modesty and despite not being wealthy, the Sahabah (close companions of Rasulullah S.A.W) said that he was always smiling.  What a man.  Such character.

His legacy lives on in the World that we live in despite the haters.  His teachings/sunnah(s) are being practiced even till this very day.  Giving Salaam, fasting on Mondays and Thursdays.  Even wearing rings can be a sunnah but that does depend on how/why you're wearing them.....

The ring I'm currently wearing almost everyday
Every year, my friends, on the 3rd Rabi'ul Awwal of the Hijriyah calendar, we don't remember just the birthday of this great man who is the seal of the Prophets.  We don't remember how he spent the last days of his life before he died.  But we remember how he lived and what he did that even makes most non-Muslims give nothing but praises about him.

Try to reconnect and give Selawaat to him not only on this day but everyday.  It serves as a reminder to us about a man who puts himself after a lot of things including us, his 'Ummah, his followers.

O, Rasulullah, how we miss you dearly.

Salam Maulidur Rasul to each and every one of my brothers and sisters of Islam all over the World.

Sollu 'Ala Rasulillah Habiibil Mustofaa.
Peace be upon the Messenger, the Chosen One.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S:  Hope you guys have an awesome 2015! ;-)

The true Weapons of a Muslim.

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, guys!

For us Muslims, our du'a is our weapon.  Of course, some knowledge of what IS and what's NOT could also help us in our quest for da'wah.  Yes, I know.

"We're not so 'alim' (religious).  We don't wanna be hypocrites."

Hey, I'm not really a "pure" soul myself.  I have my share of bad deeds.  Quite a lot.  But our Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that.........

"Seeking knowledge is obligatory (fardhu 'ain/wajib) for every Muslim."
(Recorded by at-Tirmidhi)

So, yeah.  Here are some things you could get from this post which is actually something I copied from this video....

You can check these brothers out on YouTube.  But just in case you'd wanna read what this brother said NOW.  Here it is ;-)

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Look, what if I told you there was something you were missing?
What if I told you that Jesus doesn't really fit in your description?
What if I told you that "Follower of Christ" doesn't actually mean "Christian"?
And just because you believe in Faith,
Doesn't mean Jesus didn't believe in submission.
And conviction...

Listen,
You say Jesus was 'God', and that 'God' has descended.
We say Jesus was man, for Jesus...Was dependent.
Our God is all great and cannot be comprehended.
You say that 'God' was murdered,
Or did you believe that he pretended?

See,
God gave us brains and God gave us logic,
But I guess God wanted us to use them in everything else,
EXCEPT for this topic.
It's like wearing a cross and proclaiming that you love Jesus,
When if 'God' was murdered on the Cross,
The Cross really shouldn't please us.
I mean..Would you be wearing an axe,
If it was used to chop your mother into pieces?

See,
This is what happens when you believe in Faith,
But you fail to believe in reason.

See,
We used to worship the Creator,
Until Satan turned us to the creation.
We began to worship the people,
And neglect the ONE who made them.
We began to believe that 'God' had died,
But how could a God even be created?

"A miraculous birth. And therefore 'the Son of God was begotten' .".

See,
The creation of Jesus was easy,
But you seem to have forgotten.
That God says "BE" and it is.
Just like Adam. (Surah Ali-'Imran, 3:59)
A concept too complex for the church to merely fathom.
For HE was the Creator of the universe.
For all we know even more.
And so what if we can't see Him?
I mean, what, you acting like this universe is small?
I mean there still so much we're still yet to explore.
I mean, there's still many things as human beings.
We still haven't seen, touched, heard or saw.
I mean our eyes can't even handle the sight of the sun.
So how can we possibly handle the sight of our Lord?

See,
Jesus used to pray,
But in our opinion, who did we pray to? (Gospel of Mathew, 26:39)
I mean,
If Jesus was God, surely prayer would be of no use,
Or did he only require it,
When he needed to know truth?
Like when 'God' wasn't sure,
Whether it was the season of the fruit (Gospel of Mark, 11:12-14)
Or maybe he prayed,
When there was something he couldn't do.
Like when he said, "I of myself can do nothing." (Gospel of John, 5:30)
But you took it as,
"There's nothing he couldn't do.".

See,
No one use to worship Jesus.
So ask yourself,
"Why do you?"
A concept so straight forward,
But has left so many confused.

See,
Jesus preached ONE God,
But the church has failed to practice (The Book of Isaiah, 45:5).
And I mean,
You don't have to be dumb to know,
That ONE plus ONE plus ONE EQUALLING ONE,
Isn't necessarily going to give you a 'pass',
In mathematics.

See,
The church says 'three',
When Jesus said 'ONE'.
Jesus said 'GOD',
When the church said 'son'.
Jesus never said "worship me".
Rather he said "pray" (Book of Mathew, 6:6).
But you've chosen to worship Jesus,
Despite everything he used to say.
You began to think with your emotion.
And forgot to think with your mind.
I guess you didn't pay attention when Jesus says 'our father',
But never says 'MINE'. (Book of Mathew, 6:9).

You claim to be a follower of Christ,
Yet you still choose to eat swine, (The Book of Deuteronomy, 14:8),
And you call yourselves Christians,
But in your churches,
You're busy drinking wine. (The Book of Leviticus, 10:9-11)
And just to clarify,
I DO LOVE JESUS.
Matter of fact, I love him MORE than you.
Because when Jesus said 'Do something',
I actually do.
However,
I'm not connected with the church,
Nor with the Bible.

See,
I love Jesus as my prophet,
But refuse to worship him,
As an idol,
Just like he wanted,
And proclaimed it as sin. (The Book of Exodus, 20:4)
So it doesn't really matter,
If they don't let him in,
Because Jesus wouldn't wanna be in the presence,
Of people worshipping an idol of him.

Before I move on,
There's something I need to mention.
The worshipping of Jesus,
IS a man-made invention.
He never asked for your worship so he can grant you protection.
Rather he asked you to alternate your prayers,
Towards another direction....

To GOD..And GOD ONLY.
And pray that He accepts them.
And know,
that just because you love Jesus,
Doesn't mean he feels the same way about your affection.

See,
What you believe in is exactly what he resented,
Matter of fact,
It's everything he despised,

See,
The worshipping of creation,
Goes against the very message he supplied.
So you began to follow a religion,
And called it 'love in disguise',
Because love can be good.
BUT..
Love...
Can be BLIND

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

There you go.

I've had my fair share of my non-Muslim friends bickering with me about this.  I've said my points and I just walked away but that doesn't mean I give up.  I just don't like fighting about something that's clear as crystal.

ISLAM is Allah's religion.  He will call upon Jesus/Prophet Isa a.s and asked if he told these people to worship him.  Jesus/Prophet Isa a.s WILL deny that.

May Alah S.W.T protect us from wavering Faith and increase in Taqwa.

In Sya-Allah....

The Bridge

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

A tiring day.  Got my pin number to do my MUET.  FINALLY.  I was walking my back home.  The same way I got to BSN,  by the way.  I was walking through the lake and I saw this......

A little half-full bottle of Pepsi Twist.  So I sat down and took a few sips gulps.  So I sat down and marvelled at our deteriorating place called Earth....... (By the way, just kidding.  The Pepsi's mine :-P)

After looking at the seafood restaurant there, I looked again at the bridge.  It's funny how it all seemed so figurative and/or literary......

That little bridge there, it suddenly reminds me of how short this life is.  How this world that we live in is only temporary and the things we do and get here are only supplies for the world Hereafter.  The power and influence that we have, the large amount of money that we get, the ginormous house that we live in.  The college diploma/degree that we get, whether it's overseas or local.

Sometimes we forget what we plan or planned.  And then when we get it, we complain about it and regret it, doing it out of spite, so to speak.  Sorta like you wish to work somewhere.  And when you get that so call dream place to work at, you ended up not liking it and regret it, wishing that you'd be back at the former place that you worked.  Bottom line is........

It's all about the plan.  What do you plan to supply yourself with for our life in Akhirah?

Ok, that's just a reminder to all including myself.  Actually, as I was sitting down at the bench you saw, Farah Huda, an old friend of mine was going to where I went.  She was my classmate during 6th grade in Religious School.  She looked good.  It's been about 2 years since I last saw her.  She's in UKM now but she has an interview coming up in another university to change direction, education-wise.  Long story.  What a small world eh?

;-)

Well, I gotta finish that story.  I'm doing an adaptation of a really short story that I saw on FB.  Tinkering with it a bit.  It's just while I finish chapter 3 of my UK series.  In Sya-Allah I'll finish them soon.  Both of them.

See you guys on the flip side!!

Yes, I read

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!

Some people find it weird that I read novels and not just magazines or what not.  I mean...Really?  Why is it that shocking that I read?  I mean it's one of the ways I improve my language skills, man!  And it's how I increase my eloquence.  Although, as much as I love reading, I don't really find any satisfaction to it somehow.  I mean yeah, you get that 5-second satisfaction.  Especially after finishing a long awaited book from a series or a really thick book that's over 300 pages.  However, it still doesn't beat reading even one single aayah from the al-Quran............

To be honest, there are a few books that aren't in the picture.

Yes, I've read these and there are a few that I haven't read there.  I think there are 5 books over there.  I'm telling you guys, it soothes me when I read the Book.  It's cliché, I know but it's true.

I'm an easy going guy but when I'm really depressed, I go really down.  I mean deep-at-the-bottom-of-the-sea down.  Of course, I'll go to my parents first.  I'd talk to friends.  Next, I'll go to my little sister from another mother, Sab (Sabreena).

I'd talk to her on she'd always say,

"Abang, abang dah bukak al-Quran ke belum?  If you haven't, then do it.  Just randomly bukak a page and read the tafseer."

It works.  Many times.  Sometimes the verse that I read usually relates to the problems that I have.  This is another proof that Allah S.W.T is All-Knowing.

I guess I'm blessed to have people like Sab around me.  I really like the connection that we have.  She reminds me of these things.  Besides my parents, she's the only person in my circle of friends who does.  You gotta love friends like those.

Anyway, we're just humans.  We forget.  When in distress, just open the Book and read the tafseer if you have one.  Aye?

;-)

On another note, a reminder to all you football lovers, In Sya-Allah, I will be live tweeting the Manchester derby between Manchester United and Manchester city at Old Trafford from my house on Tuesday morning, 3 a.m (Malaysia time).  To all you Red Devil fans, let's see United make the double, aye?  And prove that MANCHESTER IS RED.

To join in on my live tweet, just follow me on Twitter......

Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself

In the name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

I might be a bit late to post this but better late than never.  Need I remind my fellow brothers and sisters of Islam that wishing "Merry Christmas" even to non-Muslims is HARAM.  You can deny it all you want and say that "the hadith spreading on9 is false".  But when you actually read books from Muslim scholars and especially The Book (al-Quran), you might wanna retract those statements.

Want proof?

"They say: “(God) Most Gracious has begotten a son!” Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous! At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin, that they should invoke a son for (God) Most Gracious. For it is not consonant with the majesty of (God) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.”

Surah Maryam (19) : Ayat 88

Based on my understanding and reading, Christmas is believed by Christians to be the day that Jesus Christ (Prophet Isa a.s) was born.  "They" in the verse above shows the non-believers saying God has begotten a son.  By wishing Christmas, we acknowledge this belief and therefore we fall in to SYIRIK (Na'udzubillah).

I'm not saying that we Muslims don't believe in Jesus a.s.  Of course we do.  We love him and he is one of the most powerful prophets in Islam.  He will come down on Judgement Day to defeat Dajjal.  But he isn't God and even he says so.  Y'all can read that at your own time ok?

:-)

I think I wanna share what happened to me on Twitter.  It's related to this post....

Normally with that kind of attitude from that girl, I'd 'bash' her on the spot.  I ain't the patient type.  But I'm older even though by 1 year or 2.  So I did my job.  Mind you, I don't wanna make her look bad so I wiped her username and picture......

Just so you know, this also applies to other Christian-related holidays.  And also to saying "R.I.P" when a non-Muslim especially celebrities die.

I'm not trying to be pious.  I don't wear a kopiah everywhere I go.  I'm just your normal undergrad student who enjoys music, sports and just trying to be on the Right Path.

A word of advice: Don't give your opinions unless you have valid sources.  And if it's Islam-related, why would we give our own opinions if Allah has decree His order in The Book?  Sure, there are other Mazhabs but all those are from 2 sources, al-Quran and as-Sunnah.

I hope I don't annoy people with this post.  I just think it's our duty, you know?

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: I'm a bit sceptic on the whole wishing on new year too.  So I just think I'd say may Allah help you in your future and may your future be also helped by your past ;-)

Hold On To Your Potatoes

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Alhamdulillah, I've started my 4th sem today.  The lecturers didn't come in for the morning classes and my lecturer for the afternoon class said that her class won't start till next week.  Currently blogging in my hostel room right now.

I think it's not too late to say Salam Ma'al Hijrah to all my fellow brothers and sisters of Islam out there.  May this year be better than the last and may it be worse than the next.  Let's just say that I'm not proud of the things that I've done lately.

By the way, I have my braces off already.....

Here's me before braces............

I had nightmares about getting chased by my own teeth.  Haha!!  DAAAAAMN..  Here's my teeth right now.  It ain't that pretty.  Hehe..  But way better than before...

Do ignore that goof-ball grin of mine.  Haha!!  Alhamdulillah, my teeth are better.  I'm wearing my retainer.  It still hurts sometimes but hey, some people do crazy things for some things.  Hehe..

By the way, my lil nephew Ariq is currently in the country!!  My sis-in-law has training for a new line of work  (more or less like that).  So my parents and her parents will be taking turns to take care of that little ball of sunshine........

I just love that picture.  Haha!!  It's the hands right?  The hands.  He's bigger now and he can almost walk.  At 10 months old!!  His going back this Sunday but I don't wanna dwell on that yet.  Can't wait to get back home this weekend.

Well, the internet's going bonkers right now.  I gotta sign off.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: The last 2 sems have been pure bollocks.  The 4th semester has started and I welcome it gladly.

Selamat Hari Raya 'Aidil Adha

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

Insya-Allah, we'll all be celebrating Eid Al-Adha tomorrow especially for those who are in Malaysia.  I myself am at Taiping with my family to celebrate the greater of the 2 Eid celebrations right now.

Wait..That looks a bit upside down.

T____T"

Anywho, I just wanna make a short post here and say Selamat Hari Raya 'Aidil Adha to all my brothers and sisters of Islam whether you're here in Malaysia or staying/studying abroad or anywhere in the world.  Have a good one, people!!

;-)

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: I'm currently working on Chapter 2 of my 'UK Tales'.  To those who are also bookworms like me, you can read Chapter 1 by clicking the link in my previous post ;-)

Reminder

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Just a quick update.  My condolences / takziah to my former classmate and forever-a-friend, Shahran, who lost his father yesterday evening.  Shahran was quite a good friend of mine when I was in MRSM KK.  I think I can say I know how he feels cos I lost my grandmother a few years ago.  I was quite close to her.  So when she 'went', it hit me quite hard.

Allah S.W.T can take away any of His Blessings from us at any time.  The roof on our heads, the food we eat...The life that we don't use to fully devote ourselves to Him.  Of course, all of us, including me, tend to drift and forget.  The only thing to do is just be grateful.  There are lots of ways to show how grateful we are to the Lord.  To me, the easiest way is doing Solat........

"Pray behind the Imam (In congregation), before you are prayed in front of him."

I got Network and System class at 11.  I wanna read some of the topics that are coming out in the final.  Gotta jet.  Stay awesome, people!!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Again, takziah to Shahran.  May his father be placed among those of the Solihun.  AMIIIIN..Insya-Allah..AL-FATIHAH.

Better Than A Thousand Nights

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everybody!!

As you all might know, Eid (Raya) is this Sunday.  So technically, it's in about 5 more days (approx.).

Oh, pineapple tarts, how I adore you XD

I've been hearing about Eid almost everyday now especially from the radio in the bus that I get on to go to the campus.  What are the people gonna do..Where are they celebrating this year's Eid..What colour is their baju raya.  Don't get me wrong.  I love Hari Raya.  Family, food, the whole balik kampung experience.  But honestly, we ain't getting any younger.  Call me a rotten apple but I just think we should savour Ramadhan....every year.  It could be our last.

Alhamdulillah, I've been able to wake up at night trying to do solat tahajjud, taubat and hajat (not bragging here just merely saying).  The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that Lailatul Qadar is within the last 10 days in Ramadhan..........

A friend of mine (who I will not name) told me on twitter that people have been saying that The Night might have happened 2 nights ago (Friday night/early morning of Saturday)

Well, it MIGHT.  It MIGHT NOT.  If it HASN'T happened yet, then I will continue my search for the next few nights Insya-Allah.  But if it HAS already, what wrong is there for me to wake up in the middle night and devote myself to Him?  Especially in this month that's full of Barakah

;-)

I advise those who can to do the same aye?

Well, gotta get up later.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: I did my laundry during the weekend.  Everything smelled nice but what shocked me a bit was that my 2 pairs of kain pelikat and jubah, all of which I use to do solat, were the most fragrant from the whole laundry.  A blessing in disguise maybe?  If so, Alhamdulillah :'-)

Find Your Way

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everybody!!

Hope everyone's having a great Ramadhan so far.  I know I AM.  Despite my hectic schedule, assignments to be handed in and tests.  I got 3 tests this week.  Electronics I (Wednesday), Higher Engineering Maths (Thursday) and Digital Electronics II (Friday)  3 days in a row, 3 tests.  That'll keep me busy for a while.

Alhamdulillah.  My Ramadhan schedule is going good.  Although I have YET to do the Tarawih prayers in full, I still spend some time to do it at the surau.  And my al-Quran recitation is also going better than expected so far.  Insya-Allah I'll khatam by the end of Ramadhan.  Maybe I should tell you how you can do that while I still have some time online right now.  This way of finishing the al-Quran has been around for a while and I've been doing it for the past 2 years I think (3 years including 2012).

Ok, we have 5 obligatory prayers everyday.  We have 30 parts (juzu') in the al-Quran.  Each parts are approx. 25 pages.  Give or take.  So after every prayer, you should recite 5 pages.  Times that by 5, you'll get 25 pages.  If there are about 26 or 27 pages in a particular part, there's no harm in reciting a little more now innit?

;-)

Try to make some time IF you can to do this as it's just another way to get Allah S.W.T's blessing in this month that's full of Barakah.  Ramadhan comes only once every year.  Imagine if this year's might be your last.

Don't waste it.  Embrace it.  LIVE IT.

So far I broke my fast only once with my family so far which was last Saturday.  So for the past 2 days, I've bought only nasi campur.............

One of the perks when you're bujang.

XD

I haven't gone to any Ramadhan Bazar yet.  Soon Insya-Allah.

Hey, you guys wanna try to win a Samsung Galaxy S3?  Or maybe a MacBook Pro with retina display?  Check THIS out!!  (Sempat lagi nak buat iklan ni.  Haha!!)

Wish me luck for all the tests guys.  Seriously, I'm gonna need it.

By the way, Happy brithday to one of my bestest best friends (Eh? Ada ke bestest? O.o"), Fatin Hanan!  May Allah bless her always and give you a long and happy life.  AMIIIIN.Insya-Allah

No clearer picture.  Hehe..

XD

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I don't think I'll be blogging for the next few days.  So to my loyal readers (IF ANY), Really sorry bout that :-(

Things Are Looking Up

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Alhamdulillah the 1st day of Ramadhan went well.  Though, I could've done better.  Gonna have to go back tomorrow.  Yet my assignments are not finished.  I don't know why I feel so fatigued lately.  Even during classes.  I'm awake but I feel so tired.  Well, it's something that I'm gonna have to go through I guess.

I just hope that 1433 H's / 2012's Ramadhan will be better than the last.  Imagine walking into a dream that seems to be perfect.  And just when you get to the best bits of the dream, a stupid giant black hole erupts and swallow you whole.  That was sort of what happened to me last year.  But hey, no bloody black hole can stop me from getting up again.  Haha!!

Cos for me, it's ok to fall down.  Cos if you don't fall down you won't get any experience.  Falling down is ok just as long as..................

You fall...with style

Hehe.  You guys know Thomas Alva Edison?  The guy who invented the light bulb.  In the process of creating the light bulb, he did 10,000 tries until he got it right.  But according to him.....

"I have not failed.  I've just discovered 10,000 ways that won't work."

To those who think they're down in the dumps, chin up.  That's why we got friends you know.  Life will be pretty darn crappy if you don't have anybody to talk to.  Just ask for company.  Text someone.  Call somebody or just give your friend a hug.  Trust me, things'll start to look up.

Allah S.W.T is Great.  And He doesn't test His Servants with burdens that they can't bear.  For He is the Most Merciful.

Well, happy fasting people!  ;-)

By the way, do show your support for Malaysia's Olympic Team right here.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : How was your 1st Ramadhan?  :-D

Ramadhan Is Here

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

Alhamdulillah, Allah S.W.T sees me fit to meet Ramadhan again this year.  Got back from Shah Alam yesterday in the afternoon.  Since I got just one class of Fridays, I just thought I ought to go back early.

My local surau was filled with people for the Tarawih prayers of course as it's the 1st one.  Since my brother hadn't came back yet from Segamat, I just walked.  Not a reason not to go you know?  Hopefully this year's Ramadhan will be better than last year's.  Let's just say that the Ramadhan of 1432 H/2011 is not one of my best ones in my life.  One that I don't really wanna remember.

Well, Happy fasting everyone!!  May Allah S.W.T cleanse us from all our sins Insya-Allah.

By the way, do check this out.  Help these poor kids.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : Don't do anything that will 'batal' your fast people!  Naughty-naughty XD

All Y'all Look Alike

Assalamualaikum, everyone!!

Alhamdulillah, today my dad and I got the chance to go to The East London Mosque at Whitechapel.  There are many places in London where there is a Muslim community.  Even here in Canary Wharf.  But the Muslim community at Whitechapel is just...Massive.

Masya-Allah.  So many people.  Different people.  Pakistani, white, black, Indian, Bangladeshi, Arab. So many people with one thing in common.  To eternally serve Allah S.W.T.  May all of you had a blesses Friday by Allah S.W.T aites?

;-)

By the way, my family here will be going on a mini UK trip.  We'll be going to Edinburgh tomorrow Insya-Allah.  And on Sunday we'll be going to Manchester.  I think we'll be going to Old Trafford a.k.a The Theatre of Dreams, Man United's home ground Insya-Allah.  We'll be going back to Canary Wharf on that same day.  So I might be away for the weekend.  I'll post as many picts as I can ok?

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I'm thinking of making another blog for my stories.  What do you think my new website should be named?  Leave some comments?  Please and thank you :-)

Ignorance Is Your New Best Friend

Assalamualaikum, everybody!!

You know, sometimes we can be very ignorant, don't you think?  We often think that our ideas are all right in a way, using laws and formulae to figure things out and manipulating people away from the truth.  Some can even make us doubt our own religion, shaking our faith and letting us astray from Allah's path.

But not this young lad.  He put his prof. in his place.  I smiled reading this.  Read it till the end aites?? ;-)

*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*

Professor : You are a Muslim, aren't you, son?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor : So, you believe in GOD?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good?

Student : Sure.

Professor : Is GOD all powerful?

Student : Yes.

Professor : My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him.  Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill.  But GOD didn't.  How is this GOD good then?  Hmm?

*The student was silent*

Professor : You can't answer, can you?  Let's start again, young fella.  Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor : Is Satan good?

Student : No.

Professor : Where does Satan come from?

Student : From.....GOD.

Professor : That's right.  Tell me, is there evil in the world?

Student : Yes.

Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it?  And GOD did make everything.  Correct?

Student : Yes.

Professor : So who created evil?

*Student didn't answer*

Professor : Is there sickness?  Immorality?  Hatred?  Ugliness?  All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor : So, who created them?

*Student had no answer*

Professor : Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you.  Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor : Tell us if you have ever heard GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor : Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir.  I'm afraid I haven't.

Professor :  Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist.  What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing.  I only have my faith.

Professor : Yes, faith.  And that is the only problem science has.

Student : Professor, is there such thing as heat?

Professor : Yes.

Student : Is there such thing as cold?

Professor : Yes.

Student : No, sir.  There isn't.

*The lecture hall became very quiet at this turn of events*

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat.  But we don't have anything called 'cold'.  We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat but we can't go any further after that.  There is no such thing as cold.  'Cold' is a word we use to describe the absence of heat.  We cannot measure cold.  Heat is energy.  Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

*There was pin-drop silence in the lecture hall*

Student : What about darkness, professor?  Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor : Yes.  What is night if there isn't darkness?

Student : You're wrong again, sir.  Darkness is the absence of something.  You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light.  But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it?  In reality darkness isn't.  If it is, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Professor : So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor : Flawed?  Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality.  You argue there is life and there is deathm a good GOD and bad GOD.  You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.  Sir, Science can't even explain a thought.  It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen much less fully understood either one.  To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life : Just the absence of it.  Now tell me, professor, Do you tech your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor : If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course I do.

Student : Have you observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

*The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going*

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir?  Are you not scientist but a preacher?

*The class was in uproar*

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the professor's brain?

*The class broke out into laughter*

Student : Is there anyone here who have ever heard the professor's brain, felt it, touched it or smelt it?  No one appears to have done so.  So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir.  With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust lectures, sir?

*The room was silent.  The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable*

Professor : I guess you have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it sir....Exactly!  the link between man & GOD is FAITH.  That is all that keeps things alive and moving.

*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*

There you go.  Even a professor can be ignorant.  God can't be measured.  HE is THE FIRST and HE is THE LAST and ENDLESS.  HE is THE ONE.  HE is THE ALMIGHTY.  Hopefully you'll spread this message.  And may His blessings be with you.

We're Not So Different You and I

Assalamualaikum, everybody!!

It's 2.45 p.m where I'm writing.  I did my 1st Solat Jumaat in Canary Wharf.  Honestly, it wasn't as grand as I imagined it really.....

:-(

I thought maybe I get to solat in a big grand mosque or something but then ayah and I went to what I think was a multipurpose hall.  Don't get me wrong.  I don't care WHERE it is as long as I get to solat but some people have their own expectations you know?

The prayer hall was filled with foreigners and most of them I think were Indians..Pakis..Banglas..I think there were some Malays also including ayah and me of course.  The khutbah was very short.  I think it was less than 6 or 7 minutes.  And it wasn't in English by the way but we just listened and kept quiet of course.  But I can't help thinking.....

Almost everybody was from a different race but we had only one thing on our minds.  To devote ourselves to Allah S.W.T.  A reminder to myself to everyone.  A hadith to be exact...

The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that when we recite al-Fatihah during our congregational prayers, we must say 'AMIN' at the end of it.  For when we say it and it coincides with that of the Angels, our past sins will be forgiven..

It was an eye opener for me.  Hope it will stay this way Insya-Allah.
