So I'm back for my last semester of degree. To be honest, I'm bricking it. Freaking out a bit on the fact that I'm gonna have to find a job in a couple of months. Yet to start any classes as of now but I'm sure crap-loads of surprises are waiting for me.

Anywho, I was watching TV a few weeks back (no surprises there) and I saw this video clip by an artist named Wrabel (pronounced "Ray-bel". Like the 'ble' in 'able'). His song's called "11 Blocks" and it's been stuck in my head ever since. It's quite catchy. Here's the lyric video.................

Although, personally I like this version below better. Less pop-sounding.

The lyrics are quite straightforward enough. So personal but beautifully done. Wrabel or his real name Stephen Wrabel was dubbed by a UK paper as an artist to look out for a few years ago. Maybe they're right. Just in case you haven't heard the song yet, here are the lyrics........

Raef is a Muslim-American artist with Awakening Records. The same record label as Maher Zain and Harris J among others. He released an album in 2014, "The Path".

Like Their Masters Were Behind Them (Part 2)

Well, yesterday was part 1 of the 2013 review.  Let's continue with part shall we?

July, I took my MUET that month.  I was s***ting bricks, man.  I was so nervous.  Granted, I'd like to say that my command in English is quite good.  I just didn't wanna jinx.  But the highlight from July wasn't that.  It was this....

Haha!! My friend, Q, bought me a copy of Lindsey Stirling's album.  I LOVE IT! It's suppose to be a birthday present but since she won't be around when my birthday came, she gave it in advance.  Love it!!

Now, continuing to August.  Quite a few I guess.  Lindsey replied my tweet and also replied my comment on Instagram, final preparations for MASUM, my knee injury,Eid at a friend's house.  Here they are....

I played in the singles for tennis and I played quite well in our 1st match against USIM but our 2nd match against USM, it was a bit different...

I fell down trying to return my opponent's shot and I knocked my knee..HARD.  I had to retire cos I couldn't go on.  Not embarrassed to say that I cried.  It was my biggest tournament and I blew my knee.  I was carrying an injury on that right knee for quite a while even before the tournament but I pushed too far I guess.  Few weeks later, the doctor said that I probably have a ligament problem.  Hearing that, I just thought, "That's it.  I'm hanging my racquets for good."

Last but no least for August....

Love these girls!! In a few hours, our friendship is officially a decade old.  Petey wasn't around though.

September was good too.  2 big highlights are..................

Yeah.  Surprised me too.

Lots of friends congratulated me and Qutub told me that so far I'm the only guy to get a Band 5.  Not only that, I'm the only one in my batch.  It felt good.  Really good.

And of course the birth of the twins, Hannah Rose and Harris Reza.  I now have a niece in the family.

Moving on to October.  Haaaa..My birthday, Lindsey's birthday wish and of course the formation of Lindsey Stirling Malaysia on Facebook!! I got quite a few stuff...

I couldn't stop smiling when THE LINDSEY STIRLING tweeted me a birthday wish XDDD

I literally just woke up one weekend and my brother threw this parcel at my face.  Turned out to be a birthday present from Sab.  Love that little sister of mine!! Thanks, sis!

Petey got this card for me.  I love it.  Awesome way to reach 20.

Here's my fav part of October.........

I purposely made this page on my birthday so that I can celebrate my birthday with the formation of the page.  Lindsey's assistant, Jennifer has been so awesome thus far.  Very efficient and cool.  Check it out, guys!  The link's up there! Just scroll up a bit.

November was a drag.  Nothing unusual to report.

December was good though.  A tennis friendly tournament against Titiwangsa Tennis Community and the sudden disappearance of Lindsey Stirling Malaysia.....

One Saturday morning, I wanted to update the official LS Malaysia page but wanted to get in, it said that the link was either broken or the page was deleted.

To be honest, I'm too big fan of a fan to delete it.  Plus, I needed to have consent with Lindsey and Jennifer since they're also the managers.  I quickly e-mailed Jennifer and even she was surprised.............

Turns out, some other pages were also gone...

With the awesome-ness of Jennifer and Lindsey's security team, all the pages are restored and now I can KSLL again!! XDDD

Cyda (pronounced 'She-Duh'), my mixed doubles partner.  We got chemistry! :-D

We won the our match but apparently Cyda's counterpart wasn't satisfied and she wanted a rematch.  We lost JUST by tie-break (5-7) and this also happened.......

Picture on the right: I scraped my left leg trying to return a shot.

When I got back to shower, I screamed my head off.  For 2 days I screamed when water touched my leg.

I got it checked and treated the next day.....

So much for "I'm hanging my racquets for good.", right?  I just can't stay away.  It's a passion.  Even now, I'm in a mini tournament among my team.  We're doing this to get ranks.  Since I got pass the group stage, I'm in the top 8.  Not getting my hopes up of course.  Just trying to do my best.

Well that's my 2013 in a nutshell.  2013 came and it went running like its masters were behind it.  Quite looking forward to 2014 to be honest.  I'm not expecting anything but I'm just curious on what will happen.  Hope all of you had an awesome 2013 and may 2014 be better than this year.  In Sya-Allah.

I'd like to say that my work is progressing rather well but I'd be lying.  Lots of speed bumps in this last semester but hey, it makes all the effort worth the while in the end eh?  As per usual, I distract myself with music.

I've been listening to Mayday Parade again.  Their single 'Ghosts' is great.  Their album 'Monsters In the Closet' is not bad either but I've just heard a few songs.

Oh, and just so you guys know...........

They're coming to KL next March.......

We The Kings just released their 4th studio album, 'Somewhere Somehow' yesterday.  They did a movie soundtrack for the latest instalment in the Hunger Games series, Catching Fire, a song called 'Art of War'.  The title, the lyrics, the song.  It's actually perfect for the movie.  They're going for quite a different beat in that album.  I like the album cover.  Simple...

Since we're talking about music, I think I'd KSLL here and now.  The Lindsey Stirling Malaysia page is going quite well.  It'll be exactly 2 months old tomorrow and I'd like to say we're still going strong...

Yeah..Uhmmmm..I made that cover photo.  It was pretty easy but I did it the hard way.  Those who have better photoshopping experience could do WAAAAY better than me.

Haha!  Yeah, I'm thinking that this legitimately gives me the 'Lindsey's no. 1 Malaysian fan' status.

She commented too.  Only once so far but a comment's still a comment.  And I gather that she acknowledges the page.  So yeah, Lindsey Stirling Malaysia IS legit

Well, my classes today got cancelled.  ALL of them.  On I don't have any classes on Wednesdays cos that's what my schedule shows me.  So I have 2 days of free time.  Gonna make it as productive as possible.  That's no walk in the park for me

2 weeks since my last post, innit? Well, can't say that I've been busy.  I did plan a few things before I started my break but some things just don't turn out the way you want it to, right?

Despite me not having my laptop yet, I HAVE been busy on SOMETHING though.  I guess you can say that it's sort of a job.  I'm doing it for free but...I don't mind.  It's all about passion.  All about...Spreading love.

Yeah!!  Haha!! Welcome to the Official Lindsey Stirling Malaysia.  It's been up since my birthday 2 weeks ago.  2 weeks and we've got 41 likes (and counting) already.  Not too shabby eh? From then until now, I've posted a lot of things.  I lost count.  I'm not managing the page alone, of course.  The identity of the other 2 managers is at the post before this.  You can check that out.  Since most (but I think all) of those who 'Like' the page are actually FROM Malaysia, and Lindsey's not really known but IS currently on the rise here, it's quite hard to KSLL.  So any Stirlingite who sees this, let's do it.  Haha!!  I'll try to post all the latest stuff on Lindsey, if not right away, as soon as I get any news from Lindsey's management or Lindsey herself.

Alhamdulillah, I've turned 20 years old yesterday.  This is the 1st time in 7 years that I celebrated my birthday at home.  Thanks to high school and college of course.  This year my finals ended a bit early.

I don't know if there are anybody who'll be buying me anything.  I don't mind if anybody didn't but it'd be cool if they did.  I got an early birthday present from a very old friend..........

Q gave me Lindsey's album a few months back! I've been listening to it every time I drive.  Haha!!

And guess what.  I got another birthday present.  Well I like to think it is.......

Yup!! Lindsey Stirling wished me on my 20th birthday!  Haha!! I think that explains how awesome she is.  She interacts with her fans!

Aaaaand another thing, I've finally created the official Lindsey Stirling Malaysia page on Facebook!!  I hope by doing this Lindsey will know that she has tons of fans here and that she'll consider coming to Malaysia for a show.  A guy can dream right?

By the way guys, I'm back on commentating and In Sya-Allah I'll be live tweeting the Man United match tonight.  They'll be going up against Southampton at home.  The match at Old Trafford against The Saints will start at 10 p.m (Malaysia time) at channels 812 and 832 (HD).  You can follow me on twitter......

Mixed Feelings of Elation

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

It's been a month since my last blog post and I can actually count how many times I posted here for the past 4 months.  I think I posted just about 5-7 times this semester.  The semester that just ended.  I'm a semester away to finishing my diploma in electronic engineering.

A few things happened.  So first thing's first.......

My exams were killer.  I mean literally it killed me.  It was just constant studying till 2 a.m.  Every single day.  Only a few days that I didn't do so and those were the nights before a paper.  It's almost a week since I finished the exams but the happiness is tainted by a small thing called "Industrial Electronics".  Pardon my language but I just gotta say this...In a very Sheldon Cooper-ish way......

On the plus side, right after that, a few friends and I went off to blow some steam!!

Bowling and pizza in a day.  It didn't actually cut it but it helped lessen the pain of the bloody exam.

I've been telling people this.  I think I'm stopping myself from playing tennis till I finish my diploma.  Or maybe I'll just come down to the court may be twice a month.  My knee's still killing me cos apparently my ligament is pretty banged up.

By the way, I'm dying to read this!!!!

Released officially on October 9th (8th in the U.S), it finally came to MPH at SACC today.  I want it but I have to wait for a while.  *winkwink*  Hehehe..

Ok, in my last post at the end, I said something about a surprise that's Lindsey Stirling-related.  So here it is.  Drum roll pleaseeee..

*cue drum roll*

I'll be setting up the official Lindsey Stirling Malaysia page on Facebook!!  With Lindsey's assistant's agreement, we decided a page from Malaysia would be awesome.  In every page there are 3 managers.  One is of course a fan usually.  In this case, me.  The other 2 are Jennifer (Lindsey's assistant) and of course, the one and only, Lindsey Stirling! I don't have my laptop yet and I'm currently posting this using my brother's laptop.  So I'll be starting on the page setup the second I get my laptop.

Well, tomorrow is 10th Dzulhijjah.  I wanna wish a Happy Eidul Adha to all my brothers and sisters of Islam.  Have a good one, people!
