Find Your Way

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everybody!!

Hope everyone's having a great Ramadhan so far.  I know I AM.  Despite my hectic schedule, assignments to be handed in and tests.  I got 3 tests this week.  Electronics I (Wednesday), Higher Engineering Maths (Thursday) and Digital Electronics II (Friday)  3 days in a row, 3 tests.  That'll keep me busy for a while.

Alhamdulillah.  My Ramadhan schedule is going good.  Although I have YET to do the Tarawih prayers in full, I still spend some time to do it at the surau.  And my al-Quran recitation is also going better than expected so far.  Insya-Allah I'll khatam by the end of Ramadhan.  Maybe I should tell you how you can do that while I still have some time online right now.  This way of finishing the al-Quran has been around for a while and I've been doing it for the past 2 years I think (3 years including 2012).

Ok, we have 5 obligatory prayers everyday.  We have 30 parts (juzu') in the al-Quran.  Each parts are approx. 25 pages.  Give or take.  So after every prayer, you should recite 5 pages.  Times that by 5, you'll get 25 pages.  If there are about 26 or 27 pages in a particular part, there's no harm in reciting a little more now innit?

;-)

Try to make some time IF you can to do this as it's just another way to get Allah S.W.T's blessing in this month that's full of Barakah.  Ramadhan comes only once every year.  Imagine if this year's might be your last.

Don't waste it.  Embrace it.  LIVE IT.

So far I broke my fast only once with my family so far which was last Saturday.  So for the past 2 days, I've bought only nasi campur.............

One of the perks when you're bujang.

XD

I haven't gone to any Ramadhan Bazar yet.  Soon Insya-Allah.

Hey, you guys wanna try to win a Samsung Galaxy S3?  Or maybe a MacBook Pro with retina display?  Check THIS out!!  (Sempat lagi nak buat iklan ni.  Haha!!)

Wish me luck for all the tests guys.  Seriously, I'm gonna need it.

By the way, Happy brithday to one of my bestest best friends (Eh? Ada ke bestest? O.o"), Fatin Hanan!  May Allah bless her always and give you a long and happy life.  AMIIIIN.Insya-Allah

No clearer picture.  Hehe..

XD

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I don't think I'll be blogging for the next few days.  So to my loyal readers (IF ANY), Really sorry bout that :-(

Things Are Looking Up

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Alhamdulillah the 1st day of Ramadhan went well.  Though, I could've done better.  Gonna have to go back tomorrow.  Yet my assignments are not finished.  I don't know why I feel so fatigued lately.  Even during classes.  I'm awake but I feel so tired.  Well, it's something that I'm gonna have to go through I guess.

I just hope that 1433 H's / 2012's Ramadhan will be better than the last.  Imagine walking into a dream that seems to be perfect.  And just when you get to the best bits of the dream, a stupid giant black hole erupts and swallow you whole.  That was sort of what happened to me last year.  But hey, no bloody black hole can stop me from getting up again.  Haha!!

Cos for me, it's ok to fall down.  Cos if you don't fall down you won't get any experience.  Falling down is ok just as long as..................

You fall...with style

Hehe.  You guys know Thomas Alva Edison?  The guy who invented the light bulb.  In the process of creating the light bulb, he did 10,000 tries until he got it right.  But according to him.....

"I have not failed.  I've just discovered 10,000 ways that won't work."

To those who think they're down in the dumps, chin up.  That's why we got friends you know.  Life will be pretty darn crappy if you don't have anybody to talk to.  Just ask for company.  Text someone.  Call somebody or just give your friend a hug.  Trust me, things'll start to look up.

Allah S.W.T is Great.  And He doesn't test His Servants with burdens that they can't bear.  For He is the Most Merciful.

Well, happy fasting people!  ;-)

By the way, do show your support for Malaysia's Olympic Team right here.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : How was your 1st Ramadhan?  :-D

Ramadhan Is Here

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

Alhamdulillah, Allah S.W.T sees me fit to meet Ramadhan again this year.  Got back from Shah Alam yesterday in the afternoon.  Since I got just one class of Fridays, I just thought I ought to go back early.

My local surau was filled with people for the Tarawih prayers of course as it's the 1st one.  Since my brother hadn't came back yet from Segamat, I just walked.  Not a reason not to go you know?  Hopefully this year's Ramadhan will be better than last year's.  Let's just say that the Ramadhan of 1432 H/2011 is not one of my best ones in my life.  One that I don't really wanna remember.

Well, Happy fasting everyone!!  May Allah S.W.T cleanse us from all our sins Insya-Allah.

By the way, do check this out.  Help these poor kids.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : Don't do anything that will 'batal' your fast people!  Naughty-naughty XD

Show Me The Money

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everybody!!

The latest buzz in the nation, I assume, is this.......

The 4th series of Malaysian banknotes
Yup.  As of 16th July 2012 (last Monday), Bank Negara issued the new series of banknotes which included the resurrection of the new RM20.  People are of course psyched about that.  Most of the articles I read lately have people saying that it'll make grocery shopping much easier.  Hehe..

This new series has Malaysian culture written all over it.  Literally.  You have natural wonders on the RM100 notes, agriculture and technology on the RM50 notes and marine life on the resurrected RM20 notes.  Not only that, a flora theme is used on the RM10 notes and wildlife and traditional sport for the RM5 and RM1 notes respectively.  All these notes have new fancy technology in them.  From the ink to the material and what not.  You know.  The whole nine yards.  Some even I don't understand despite being an engineering student.

Thinner notes will make our wallets and purses much less thick too. Haha!!  And the vibrant colours might even brighten up your dull days.

*Thumbs up*  It's like I'm the official advertiser or something..

-___-"

To kids.  Well, they'll be stoked to get their hands on these new notes for Eid (Raya).  Hehe..  I'm not a kid. Well, physically I am.  But hey, it ain't wrong to get excited for even the littlest of things now innit?

;-)

Well, gotta go!!  Cheers, mates!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : On what will you guys spend using the new notes?  Just curious here XD

Back To The Drawing Board

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

I just wanna post these 2 picts up.......

The string snapped.  Nothing unusual right?

The frame's busted.  O___o"
Gonna start collecting some cash now.

Anywho, my group, JURUTEK, got bronze for the men's doubles in tennis.  Congrats, guys!!

XD

Overall, JURUTEK got 3rd place.  I don't actually know who got 1st cos I was busy with my assignment.  I don't care to be honest.

*Shrugs*

Well, gotta go, people!!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : Insya-Allah Ramadhan starts this Saturday.  And I'm really excited about that fact.  What about you guys?

COME ON!! (FesC Edition)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Have you guys ever get that sickening feeling that there are just people who are just too....'Against' you?  If you have, that means we're in the same boat.  I don't think I can live with people being unfair and just lie straight to my face.

As you guys might know, I competed in UTMKL's Festival of Sports and Culture (FesC..I think that's how it's spelt)  Of course, it didn't go my way.  What's new right?

Ok I lost the the 1st match in the 1st round fair and square but I still got through to the 2nd round.  That's when everything started to go haywire.

3 sets.  Best of 2.  Tie-break system since we didn't have a lot of time.  So first to reach 11 wins a set.  Seems easy right?  Not if you have a couple of *Insert 'bad' words here* as opponents and/or umpires.  My shots were mostly and clearly 'in' by a mile but it was called 'out'.  My opponent's shots were pretty damn 'out' by miles but it was called 'in'.  Come on.  That ain't fair.  This was for the singles category.  The doubles category?  Same thing happened.

You wanna know what made me pissed the most?  I had to win both matches in the 2nd round to go through to the semis for the singles category.  But of course, all hell broke loose when people conspire against you (I know it's not good to make assumptions like that but if you guys are in my predicament, y'all may wanna agree with me).  I came back from a set down..To match point.  My opponent smashed the ball and it was 'out' by light years (that's stretching it but it's true).  But they called it 'in'.  Of course I protested.  Then they all just ganged up on me and said to replay the point.  I was !@#$%^& pissed, I was.  In the end I lost the match and I didn't get to go to the next round.

I've never shown my angry side much to other people in my college.  Last night was my 2nd time.  My not-so-potty mouth turned to the filthiest one in the world last night at that particular moment.  Ashamed, embarrassed and totally f-ing mad, I just took a walk around the campus since we played at campus.

I didn't take many pictures of myself though.  Only 1 actually.  I was too busy getting ripped off....

Aji (Far right) and Abg Arab (next to Aji) against the Aero guys

My 1st singles match
I'll go straight down to the climax then.  For the ladies singles, Alhamdulillah, Kak Tiah won the bronze and Kak Hannah won gold.  Both matches were hardly fought and the players were down-right exhausted.  Congrats Kak Hannah and Kak Tiah!!  XD

Kak Hannah (left) of JURUTEK, my group vs Shahidah of PEMKA

For the men's doubles, Abg Arab and Aji lost in the semis.  It was a close fight but luck just wasn't on their side.  The 3rd and fourth placing will start this morning in a few.  G'luck guys!!  COME ON!!

:-D

Well, I don't think I'll be playing tennis for a while.  I'll give you guys the reason in my next very short post Inysa-Allah.

;-)

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : Sorry for the strong language.  I'm too damn pissed.

Off With His Head!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

I went to my Higher Engineering Maths class this morning at 8 and I saw a newspaper.  It was yesterday's actually but I just thought, "What the hey?".  So I flipped through the pages.

Apparently, a teacher in Taman Canning, Ipoh lost her marbles when a classroom of 6 year olds were being a bit noisy.

She caned a boy..ON THE HEAD!!!

Eswin Khoo Mun Jun (the kid) showing where he was caned as his father (man on the right) looks on.
Daaaaamn.  Little Eswin there went home and complained to his dad, Khoo Kian Heng, 35, who is a businessman, that his head hurt.

The father said, "I admit my son can be naughty but she shouldn't have caned him on the head as it can bring serious injuries like to the brain and also cause trauma."

"I don't mind him being caned on the hands when he's being naughty but not on the head as it is a sensitive part of the body," his father said after filing a complaint at the Pusat Khidmat Aduan Bercham there.

The following day, Kian Heng went to see the teacher and she admit that she hit him.

Kian Heng also stated that the headmaster of the school knows about the issue but is yet to take action, which resulted to Kian Heng filing a police report.

That's a stupidly stupid and rash of an action.  Hopefully that teacher gets what she deserves.

Anywho, just thought I wanna share this.  Patience is a virtue, people!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : She takes the term 'Off with his head!' waaaaay too seriously.

FedEx-ed The 7th Title

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

I know it's a bit late but I just GOTTA post this up..............

After 4 sets, Roger Federer clinched his 7th Wimbledon title, matching tennis great, Pete Sampras.  He struggled in the 1st set, which concluded with Andy Murray winning 4-6.  Andy Murray is the 1st Brit to get into the Wimbledon final since Bunny Austin in 1938.  Me, being a Federer fan for so long already had a bad feeling after Roger lost the 1st set

But the Swiss Maestro made the comeback on the 2nd set with a 7-5 win.  In the 3rd set with each player winning a game each, it started to pour heavily so it took about 40 minutes for the roof of Center Court to close and the air-cond to kick in.

By the way, Posh and Becks were also there.  Along with the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and her sister Pippa.  Sir Alex Ferguson was there too.  I'm sure he wanted to see a fellow Scotsman win the Wimbledon.  Too bad.  Like the scoreboard up there, Roger Federer won 4-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-4.

Tears of joy
Sweet victory!!

Good game

Is it me or Andy looks pissed?  Better luck next time, Andy!! ;-)
Congrats to Roger!!  Hopefully he can win more grand slams and keep being awesome!!

XD

Anywho, here in UTMKL, a sports festival will be held and the teams in all sports will consist of groups of the student body.  Like me for instance, I'm in the group of electrical courses, JURUTEK.  There are others like, COMSTAR (Computer Science guys), PEMKA (Civil engineering guys), QS (Quantity Survey guys) and loads more.  Since JURUTEK barely have enough players and since we all agreed, Aji and I will be playing both men's singles and doubles categories for tennis.  Hopefully, we'll make it to the final which is this Sunday I think.  Am I pumped??  HELL YEAH!!  Am I nervous??  DAMN RIGHT I AM!!!

>___<"

Well, gotta go.  It's near Isya' and I wanna study later.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : Lack of materials for blogging lately.  But it's my blogSuka hati aku laaaa :-P

The Championships

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

They're baaaaaaack!!  Haha!!  Alhamdulillah, my parents are back from the UK yesterday.  I don't actually have any pictures cos I was too busy catching up with them.  Of course, it was all hugs after that.  Along and I picked him up at KLIA.  Along's family followed too.

Today though, my parents have been sleeping a lot.  JET LAG.  Can't blame them.  When I came back a month ago.  My jet lag lasted about 4...Maybe 5 days

-____-"

Anywho, my post tonight is about this.................

Serena Williams (6) vs Agnieszka Radwanska (3)
And also..THIS....

Roger Federer (3) vs Andy Murray (4)
The Ladies' Singles final for The Championships in Wimbledon is playing right now.  World no. 6, Serena Williams from the US against Agnieszka Radwanska, the world no. 3 from Belgium.

But what matters to me is the men's final tomorrow night.  I saw the men's semi-final.  Federer vs Djokovic and Murray vs Tsonga.  Murray played well against Tsonga even with the 3rd set hiccup.  I honestly thought Federer would lose.  As huge of a fan I am of Federer, I just think he lost his touch a bit.

I guess he proved me wrong.  What's new?  XD

The Swiss Maestro's 8th Wimbledon final and on his way to a 7th title.  His road-block?  The first Brit ever to reach the final since 1938, 4th seed, Andy Murray.  It'll be one hell of a final.

SWEEEEEEET XD

That's all, guys!  Gotta go.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S :  A bit hungryGonna get me some grub in a few ^_^

He's Very Funny, Innit??

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

You know, I just love stand-up comedy.  Of course, we have our own comedians.  Zizan, Johan, Harith Iskandar and all.  No offense.  I just have my own reasons for liking international acts more.

I have some favourites of course.

The ever so fluffy, Gabriel Iglesias.  Latino comedian, crazy sound effects.  He's awesome...

And also...

Russell Peters.  Canadian-born.  LOL-jokes (literally).  Though, he does use a lot about race for his acts.  So that might not other people's cup of tea.  Either way, I'm sure he made a killing during his show in Shah Alam in May.

My latest favourite however, is this guy.....

Russell Howard.  Hahaha!!  I 'discovered' him during my 2 months in the UK thanks to Angah.  He has his own show in the UK called 'Russell Howard's Good News'.  He finds news from all over the UK and even in other parts of the world and tries to make people laugh from it.

Trust me.  It works.  Haha!!  XD
Even after coming back from the UK, I still watch his show.  Via YouTube, of course.  Hehe.

^_^

His act does have some contents that are explicit if you know what I mean.  Soooooooo

Hehe..

You can find these 3 guys on Facebook and also on Twitter.  You guys should and must watch there act on YouTube too.  They're so funny, you guys will laugh till you cry.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : About the last statement there, believe me, it happened  XD

Here's Your Little Bundle of Joy

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everybody!!

Honestly, I don't know what to post about.  I do, however, know why I'm still making this post....

I miss this little kid!!!!!!
Things have been a bit crazy lately.  With studies and the flu and what not.  But when I reminded myself of the times I played with Ariq.  Haaaaa...  Like water in a flowing river, the anxiety just washes away.  Do enjoy the picts, people.  Aye?

;-)

1st day out!!  XD
Who needs a bed anyway  :-3
Hi, Mr. Lion!!
Are you talking to me?  Are YOU talking...TO ME??!!  Haha!! XD
Daddy, you're embarrassing me in front of my friends T____T" Hehe..
Today's already Wednesday.  2 days to go till 'le parents come back to Malaysia.  And I'm pretty damn stoked about it.

:-D

By the way, Alhamdulillah, my fever has gone down a bit.  Everything is still there.  Runny nose, sore throat and my body is also a bit warm.  But at least I'm feeling better than yesterday.

Gotta go people!!  A new day calls for a whole lot of adventure!!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I just love that last picture!!  Haha!!  Nanti, bila Ariq balik Malaysia time raya leh main dgn Pak Su Choki lagi eh Ariq?  XD

Random Stuff But You Get The Gist

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Day 3 of the flu/fever/sore throat/demam.  Alhamdulillah I AM getting better day by day.  Last night however was completely miserable.  I had to dump the lab report on my lab partner, Zharif.  Sorry, Zharif!!

>____<"

After maghrib, all I can do was just lie in bed.  I was damn tired.  My whole body felt like lead.  I fell asleep but luckily by His Grace and Power, I woke up at 9.15 p.m and did my Isha' prayers.  And right after that, BACK to sleep.  Woke up at 6.19 a.m.  Did my Fajr/Subuh prayers and here I am.

I know I'm still sick but I REALLY need to sweat it out.  Been waiting to play tennis during the evening but I guess there were some......Complications.  Hopefully today I can sweat it out.

By the way, my parents are coming back this Friday.  Insya-Allah I'll go pick them up with Along at KLIA since I only have 1 class that day.  Can't wait.

:-D

My class is at 10 today so I just thought of a little update before I go get ready.

On a much random note, on Mondays my classes are at 11 a.m.  So a certain blogger friend of mine asked me on FB why did I wake up so early.  The words that person said :

"Morning person betul :-)"

Hehe.  To say I'm a morning person, that's like such a big disclaimer.  Haha!!  But to say that I'm NOT is also that too.  I just thought that..Well, it's not good to sleep after the Fajr/Subuh prayers.  Rezeki/good fortune won't come our way.  Allah made the days for us to find our food and work and He made nights for us to rest.  I don't think you should mess with that cycle.  Unless you really have to of course.

Not trying to be pious, just a minor reminder

:-)

Have an awesome day everybody!  May Allah bless us with His Barakah Insya-Allah.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : There will be times when a door closes and we wait/find another.  Bollocks!!  Just smash a window and go through there!!  XD

What Did I Tell You??!!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

I don't think it's much of a surprise to see Spain winning the UEFA Euro 2012.  We all should've seen it coming honestly.  I know Petey and I did.  Hehe..

Spain cruised through in the final winning a satisfactory 4-0 victory against the Azzurri with goals from David Silva ('14), Jordi Alba ('41), Fernando Torres ('84) and Juan Mata ('88).

Italy did play well as Iker Casillas had to do some saves but the Spaniards were the better team.  David Silva headed home the 1st goal after Andres Iniesta found Cesc Fabregas who crossed the ball.  Jordi Alba showed his composure by scoring Spain's 2nd after Xavi slid the ball to his path with a good through-pass.

By half-time, everything seemed a bit bleak for the Azzurri even though they covered more ground and had 53% possession over the ball.  Thing's couldn't get any worse right??

WRONG!!

11 minutes after the restart, Italian manager, Cesare Prandelli used all his subs.  One of them being Antonio di Natale forced out a save from Casillas after receiving a pass from Riccardo Montolivo.  Italy's luck were looking worse when their last replacement, Thiago Motta, had to be carried off on a stretcher after pulling a hamstring.  He only played for 4 minutes.  DAAAAAMN.

Since the Azzurri used all their subs, they had to play with 10 men.  In the last 10 minutes, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata scored the 3rd and 4th and sealed the win.

Mario Balotelli marched straight for tunnel and angrily shrugged off Italian officials who told him to stay.  Evantually, he returned for the presentation ceremony.

Spain is now the first team to win 3 major tournaments in a row.  The Euro 2008 in Austria, World Cup in South Africa and now, Euro 2012 in Poland/Ukraine.

Congrats, Espanyol!!  XD

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I didn't watch the match actually.  Got this all from the internet.  Including the picts :-P
