The Mark of Shadow / The Serpent's Athena

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

I've been waiting for a year, people!!  They finally picked a date to release the third and latest instalment for the 'Heroes of Olympus' series.  I knew since the last one that they'll release it by fall/autumn/luruh.  Now I know!!

XD

The Heroes of Olympus series is actually the series following the Percy Jackson and the Olympian series.  So the characters in the Percy Jackson series are also in the Heroes of Olympus series.

Based on the official Percy Jackson page on Facebook, The Mark of Athena will be released on October 2nd 2012 and will consist of 384 pages.  It's all good I guess cos by then my final exam will be finished Insya-Allah.  Damn, I can't wait.  Haha!!

Though, I think I ought to wait for the 2nd cover of the book of the book.  I'm not sure if the one up there is the UK or US version.  I want the one where the cover is actually a real person and not a cartoon.  I think that's the US version that I want.

Rick Riordan is just an awesome writer.  Known as the 'Myth Master', he also writes the 'Kane Chronicles' series (which I also follow) where it is based on Egyptian mythology, whereas the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus series are based on Greek mythology.

Don't worry, I don't believe in all those legends or myths.  My faith is still strong and will always be on Allah S.W.T's side.

:-)

I just love to read these types of stories.  Which reminds me, I wanna read the 'Kane Chronicles' latest book, The Serpent's Shadow.....

I'm pretty sure some people think I'm a nerd for reading lots of books.  Finishing book after book.

STEREOTYPES....WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSE TO DO RIGHT??

I assure you guys, I ain't a nerd.  I DO have a life.  But that's all up to you.  So if you think I'm a nerd, then that's your problem.  I don't like to judge people.  So to those people, put that in your coconut and suck on it

:-P

Bottom line is, I can't wait for the release.  The page on Facebook I said earlier put a sneak peek of the 1st chapter.  And it was great.  Hehe..

Well, gotta go.  Need to get ready for class even though it starts at 10 and it's not even 8 yet

T___T"

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : My English teacher told me that she looks forward to read my stories that I wrote here.  Really hope she'll like it :-)

AHHH!! Brain Freeze!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

What happens when you drink something cold for too long and/or too fast?

Hahaha!!  I'm sure you guys think that everybody has felt brain freeze before.  Au contraire mon ami.  Hehe.  My friend, Q, never felt it before.  My reaction??

O____o"

Since she never felt it, I think it's sort of an obligation for me to make this post.

XD

Ice-cream headache or "brain freeze" (sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia) is a cranial pain or headache you get when you eat or drink cold food too fast.  It occurs when the cold food touches the roof of the mouth (palate), and makes the blood vessels connected from the mouth's roof to the brain to constrict and swell.

This nerve reaction happens in 10 seconds and lasts about 20.  Though, some people have experienced it longer.  It usually hurts at one side of the head but sometimes both sides (two is better than one eh? -__-")

To stop it, of course, you gotta eat whatever cold food you're eating at a slower rate.  Better yet, just stop for a few seconds.

T___T"

When I get a brain freeze, I use to take my dad's hands and put them on my head.  Haha!!  His hands are warm so what better way to defrost a frozen brain right?  Hehe..

Well, I'll be going back to UTMICKL tomorrow afternoon Insya-Allah.  GREAAAAT.

>___<"

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I'm sure Q gets the idea of it now.  Q, if vous are reading this, I'm so sure you feel more than curious.  Now go and get your 1st brain freeze!!  XD  Haha!!

Life's Like A Box of Chocolates

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu'alaikum, everybody!!

Well, the 2 p.m rescheduled class will be rescheduled since the lecturer has a meeting.  So I guess I better update the 'canvas' here before the internet in my room goes haywire (Internet CICT UTM ni suka sgt buat gila dgn aku T___T")

Honestly, I don't know what's been happening to me lately.  I've been finding myself sitting alone every night thinking that I might not be here the next second later.  I've been crying too and the new sem JUST started.  I guess it's the pressure of trying to do SO well in my studies.  True, failure may lead to success but in my situation, failure ain't an option.

I really wanna re-connect with my friends again.  Those from my primary AND secondary school years.  It'll be great to see how far we've gone you know?  Trust me, I know.

By the way, don't you guys think it's wrong for like....Your friend to forbid you to contact with his/her friend?  Like C tells B to stay away from A cos A is C's friend.  I just think you should be able to be friends with anybody you like as long as the other party is alright.  But hey, the world's changed a lot.  Maybe I'm just too naive.

*Shrugs*

I just wish I have someone to talk to.  Of course I have my family but I just wanna find someone else to talk to.  You know what I mean?  It feels like I'm talking to a wall sometimes.

Don't worry.  I'm not THAT stupid to kill myself.

Well, on a much happier note, I think I'll be going back to Shah Alam again this week.  I forgot a few stuff when I came back here last week.  Plus, Abg Cik will start his study week next week so he said he'll be back home too.

Gotta go.  Wanna sort some stuff in my head.  I can go crazy la like this (Macam la perangai aku ni x cukup gila)

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I just noticed that last sem I didn't go to the surau just as much as I did during the 1st sem.  So I just think it's better to solat behind an Imam before people perform the solat behind my lifeless body...

Dance With My Father Again

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamualaikum, y'all!!

Alhamdulillah, thanks to Abg Cik, I'm back here in KSJ.  He sent his car to do some stuff (What and where ain't necessary to be mentioned here)  With Along's help everything went well and I was just in time to play tennis.

XD

Anywho, I know it's a bit late but since it's still June 17th and the 3rd Sunday of June, this post still counts as a dedication to my awesome Ayah.  He's still in the UK with Ibu, taking care of Ariq so as I'm writing this sentence, it's 2.40 p.m in London.

Honestly?  I don't think I'll be where I am now without him.  Truthfully, I'm hopeless when left alone (Okay la, not THAT hopeless but you get the gist T___T")

A father's love can be limitless, which shows how much he cares.  Nothing and NO ONE can ever replace the man called a father.  Call him what you want.  Abah, Bapak, Abi, Papa, Daddy.  Anything, he's still the one who takes care of you through all the highs and the lows.

If you ask me to describe my Ayah with one word, it's simple.... EXTRAORDINARY.

:'-)

True, we often have our disagreements that are usually caused by me (I'm a pain.  Trust me).  But hey, you can't help but love that person you call a father.

As a Muslim, of course it's obligatory / Wajib to respect your elders especially your parents.  So I stand firm with that.

I know you like this song, Ayah.  So here's to you.  Luther Vandross's Dance With My Father.

Here's to all the father's in the world.  To my Ayah, Happy Father's Day.  May Allah bless you always and give you a longer and happier life with those who you hold near and dear.

:'-)

I think I'll speak for your other 3 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws and also Ibu, we all love you very strong!!  (Only our family get it guys.  Sorry :-P Hehe)

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I ain't embarrassed to say that I'm a bit choked up making this post :'-)

Homecoming! I'm Coming!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamualaikum, y'all!!

Touchdown, Malaysia!! Ok, I know I'm 8 days late on making this post but really guys, I'm so sorry.  I have an explanation honestly.  Whether you guys wanna hear it or not, totally up to you.

Last Monday I slept at my Along's place in Damansara cos the next day I went out with Sab, her friend and Amira.  Amira came a bit late cos she had something going on.  So me, Sab and her friend went on first.  It's been a while since I've been to OU so we went there and watched MIB 3.  Insya-Allah I'll write a review on that, aites?

;-)

Amira came about half an hour after Sab and her friend left.  It was a great day, catching up with friends, having a laugh or two.  It was a nice homecoming day for me.  So Tuesday night I went back to Shah Alam.  I had the house to myself the whole week cos my parents are still in the UK to take care of Ariq.  It's complicated for me to explain.  (Paham2 je la eh?)

Wednesday was a good day too.  Fatin helped me to the dentist and also in getting my phone number back.  My number was inactive for so long that it deactivated.  So that was taken care of.  I went to what I call the tri-mall area (Alam Sentral, SACC and Kompleks PKNS) to buy some stuff.  So that's the end of Wednesday.

Thursday was one of the most epic days in my life.  I hung out with a very old friend who I haven't seen since Standard 5.  So, 8 years!  Haha!!  We got in touch mostly through Skype when I was in London.  So we just arranged to hang out.

My friend, who wants to be known as 'Q', and I went to Sunway Pyramid and went ice-skating believe it or not.  A bit random.  But we are cool liddat (Only she and I understand that statement.  Haha!!)  Q didn't know how to skate so I had to help her a little.  So I think she knows how to skate already.  Haha!  Then after Zuhur prayers we had lunch and just did some catching up with each other.  Basically, we just couldn't stop cracking each other up.  We did random jokes, crazy one-liners.  Haha!!

After Sunway we went back to Shah Alam cos she needed to find some stuff and we ran into her friends.  So I got a ride back home.

Friday wasn't very unusual though.  I went out with Petey and Fatin after the Friday prayers.  We bought the groceries we wanted to bring back to our colleges.  I changed my guitar strings.  But still, Petey's a really close friend of mine so it was awesome seeing him again.

That night, Fatin and Petey came to my house and I wanted to ask Q whether or not she wants to join us and have dinner but by then it was already late.  So we decided to pick her up at her house at 7-ish a.m the next day.  Haha!!  Randomosity never escapes me.

So Saturday was just awesome.  The four of us, me, Petey, Fatin and Q were actually schoolmates during our time in SK Raja Muda.  Me, Fatin and Q were in the same class during the 5th grade and Petey was my classmate during religious school.  But our school had a very close network so we all knew each other.

We had breakfast at Chili Merah and Q and I had roti telur (SEDAPNYEEEEE!!!) Haha!!  Soon after that we hung out at Shah Alam's Taman Tasik and went to my house.  We sat outside the house cos we didn't want any trouble with JAIS or something >___<"

In the afternoon,  I had to go to Sbg Parade to meet a friend and give a birthday present.  Q wanted to do some window shopping of her own (but actually turned into shopping)  The both of us meet up with Myra and her lil sister and I gave her the present.  Her face was just priceless.  Haha!!

After we left Myra and her sis.  We did our Zuhur prayers and Q actually bought some stuff.  Not to brag, but if it wasn't for me I don't think she'd buy anything.  Haha!!  No offence MON AMIIII!! XD

Her dad picked us up at the KTM station and sent me back home.

Sunday was sad actually.  I had to leave to start the new semester.  I was still tired from layan-ing my friends that week.  But you know what?  It was worth every damn second.  Sunday was great too.  Got together again with my tennis gang and I got the chance to use my new gear.  And it was an awesome feeling.  Though, My body's a bit sore cos the last 2months and a half, I didn't RUN or JOG a SINGLE day

T____T"

But hey, it feels good to sweat again.  Haha!!  So far the 3rd semester and the beginning of my 2nd year as a diploma student in UTMICKL is going great.  Insya-Allah I'll pray, doa, hope and do my best.  Keep me in your prayers, guys ok?  It'd mean a lot

:-)

I'll post more stuff Insya-Allah.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S : I really miss Ariq.  That little ball of sunshine.  Not to mention Angah and Kak Sha.  My parents too.

ARRRGGGHHHH!! COMEL NYAAA!!!
One of my fav picts!!  XD Haha!!  Ariq and his daddy
