Of Hopes and Dreams

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamua'alikum, y'all!!

First of all, TGIJ everybody!  May all my brothers and sisters of Islam has a blessed Friday from our Lord In Sya-Allah.

Alhamdulillah, my nightmare is about to end.  I got one last paper next Monday at 9 a.m.  Electronic Manufacturing Process (E.M.P).  To be honest, I think it's more of a reading kind of subject.  No calculations. At least not in this particular syllabus though.  Still, I'm not taking any chances.  Just one final push till the end of my 2nd year of Diploma in Electronic Engineering in UTM KL

I'm not really sure on how to get home though.  Don't wanna cos a fuss in my family because I might be going home on Tuesday.  Might hitch a ride with Aji but that still remains to be seen.

By the way, a reminder to you football fans, In Sya-Allah I will be commentating/live tweeting on United's match against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light this Saturday at 8.45 from the UTM KL hostel.  To follow the live tweets and also to follow ME, you can find my name, Syauqi Kusyairi or..............

Went to the tennis shop my friends keep talking about at Ampang Park yesterday.  I'm telling you guys, that place is a like a haven for tennis lover (Not HEAVEN.  That's just too much).  I picked up a good pair of Nike shoes. My first thought: Bloody hell, that's cheap!!  It ain't easy finding a good pair of tennis shoes for under RM200 nowadays.  I got the money but I'm saving it for something else.  I don't wanna burden my parents either so I'm a bit in the middle of the road here.  I'll find a way.  I usually do.

Anyway, I'll be blogging and what not more when the exam finishes.  I got 2 months of break ahead but I'll be working to get some money.  I'm also already working on the chapter of my 'UK Tales' series.  In Sya-Allah I'll make 2 chapters during the 2 months.

Stay awesome, people!!

See you guys on the flip side!!

TGIJ - Thank God It's Jumu'ah

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, dudes and dudettes!!

Well, yesterday was the results for SPM 2012.  To be honest, I couldn't care less.  I mean yeah, I got cousins who did the exams but it just wasn't 'all that' for me.  Whether they got good results or not, I don't wanna ask them.  It's a burden.

Anywho, to those who didn't get straight A's, don't you ever give up.  Maybe your way of studying works in college.  I didn't get straight A's but I turned out alright.  I THINK....

To those who did.  Congrats!!  Celebrate while you can, lads!!  Cos it'll be the last time you'll ever see an 'A+" on your transcript..EVER..AGAIN..

*Queue evil laugh*

Whatever the result was, wake up, guys!!!!  High school's over.  You won't be spoon fed.  You're on your own now, kid.  Sort of.....

(Buat gempak je aku ni)

On another mixed feelings sorta note,  I just did the 1st paper of final exam for my current semester (4th).  Electronics II.  It was easy.  I mean the questions were easy but I couldn't remember some of the formulae.  I went out of the exam hall with my head down.  But hey, what's done is done.  I did my best.  So I'll just let Allah S.W.T do the rest.  He IS after all the Best of Planners.

Next stop, Islamic Institutions.  May He help me from this hurricane of mine.............

By the way, TGIJ - Thank God It's Jumu'ah!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Have you guys ever wondered what a duck would look like when it does the moonwalk? :-O

Otaku FTW!!

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

I'm currently in Shah Alam right now.  1st time in 2 and a half weeks since the last time I saw my parents.  They just got back from 'Umrah last Monday.  It's my study week right now so I just thought I'd come back home for a bit.

Plus, I wanted to use these..............

Since MPH is the closest and best bookstore near my house, so I went there.  Let's see.  I'm a bookworm.  A fantasy junky.  A history junky also.  And also love Muslim related stuff.  Therefore....

Ignore the toes at the bottom left corner there.  Haha!!  This is what happens when you get RM 250 book vouchers at the END of a semester.

Honestly, I'm really freaking out about the exam.  My exam schedule is as follows:

1. Electronics II - 20th March
2. Institusi-institusi Islam - 24th March
3. Microprocessor - 26th March
4. Electronic Manufacturing Process - 1st April

Seriously, I panic everytime I think about it.  It's so damn near and everything's moving so fast.  I know it's pretty friggin' stupid.  Tapi betul la kan?  Student mana yang x cuak bila nak exam?  Haha!!

Oh well.  United will be taking on Reading this weekend on Sunday at 1.25 a.m.  To any of you who wants to see my live tweets during the match, y'all can follow me on twitter

P.S: Somehow I'm afraid that the cycle will start all over again.

Let There Be Light!

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Alhamdulillah my Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) project presentation went well 2 days ago.  The lecturer had some comments in the end so it was sort of a setback but no matter.  It's done!!!

It's basically the Panama Canal.  Hehe.  We just did a miniature version.  It was my idea but it's safe to say that my 3 group members were the masterminds...........

From left: Burhan (Designer and programmer), Me (Designer), Zharif ("quartermaster"), Asyuwad (Programmer)
We had another group photo but somehow 2 illegal aliens got into the picture along with us....

Haha!!  Alhamdulillah, I've finished PLC and I just handed in my Electronics 2 assignment about an hour ago.  Currently at the library right now.  Gonna be going back to the hostel in about an hour.  I got tennis training at 5 till 7 p.m today.  Gonna sweat all the exam-anxiety out.

In other news, Barcelona came back from behind (2-0) to beat AC Milan 4-2 with a 4-0 victory in the 2nd leg at the Nou Camp.  Goals from Lionel Messi (2), David Villa and Jordi Alba sent Milan packing and Barca through to the QFs of the UEFA Champions League.

Enough with the football updates for now.  This might be my last post in quite a long time.  Gotta focus on my exam.  Can't wait to get back though.  It's been 2 weeks since I last saw my parents who just got back from 'umrah 2 days ago.

:-)

Stay awesome, guys!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Chapter 3 of my "UK Tales" is already in the making  ;-)

A Walking Travesty!!

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

Well, after wallowing for a day and a 4 hour-sleep in daylight yesterday, I finally got the chance to update on the Champions League news.  As some of you might know, and I think you all do, Manchester United lost 2-1 in the 2nd leg of last 16 of the UEFA Champions League yesterday against Real Madrid.  The aggregate was 3-2 to Real Madrid.

In the 1st half, Real dominated possession-wise.  United however, had less of it but made the best of it, creating lots of chances.  Nemanja Vidic hit the post with a header from an RVP corner.  Danny Welback and RVP also had chances but Real's goalkeeper, Diego Lopez made a lot of saves...For the whole game actually.

In the 2nd half, United got the lead after 48 minutes with a Sergio Ramos own goal.  Nani, United's no. 17 slid the ball in and an accidental tap of the foot caused Real a temporary setback.

In around the 50-something minutes, a clash between the no. 17s, Nani and Alvaro Arbeloa, the both took quite a hit.  Arbeloa especially.  Nani was going for the ball but Arbeloa took the ball and Nani wasn't able to pull his feet back.  His studs hit Arbeloa's rib area.  If you asked me, it was all unintentional.  But guess what............

HE WAS SENT OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was clearly going for the ball.  After the match, Arbeloa even said that Nani didn't even see him coming.  He was focused on the ball.

Let's see the reaction of some football stars on Twitter shall we?

I saw 3 of the tweets above.  Outraged!!  It was a bloody travesty!!

After the sending off, Real took advantage of the 10-men United and goals from Luka Modric and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo sealed the win.

That stupid reff ruined the greatest match of the season.  No doubt.  After the final whistle, United players swarmed the reff in protest.  Can't say I blame them.  I bet he will get a lot of death threats for the next few weeks.  Maybe months.  I'd REEEEEALLY like that.

No use talking about that now.  United have the FA Cup to worry about where they will be taking on Chelsea this Monday at midnight and that mouthwatering quarter final at Old Trafford.  And the BPL of course where they are at the top with a 12-point gap.

In other news, German side Borussia Dortmund managed a 3-0 win against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk and go through to the QFs with a (5-2 aggregate).  Paris Saint-Germain also go through despite a 1-1 draw against Valencia with a 3-2 aggregate.  Celtic lost tu Italian giants Juventus after a 2-0 defeat (5-0 aggregate).

Well, enough football for now.  Next week is the study week for me but I still have some assignments to do. My first paper for the finals are on the 20th of this month.  Electronics 2.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Congrats to United legend, Ryan Giggs for his 1000th senior appearance in football last night.

Match of the Season?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, everyone!!

In 24 hours the fans of one of the 2 most famous football clubs will either weep or whoop....

Probably considered the match of the season.  THE match.  The 2nd leg will be going down at Old Trafford.  The 1st leg at the Bernabeu in Madrid ended in a 1-1 draw with Welback scoring a header.  Real Madrid equalized and it was not really surprising that Cristiano Ronaldo, United's former golden boy, scored.

United now has the upper hand now that they have the away goal.  The only thing to do now is to tighten the defende and stop this man....

Ronaldo said that it would be great to score at Old Trafford again.  He didn't celebrate after scoring that header in the 1st leg out of respect he has for the club.  That's good.  He didn't forget his place.  It's buzzing that it will be a battle between these two.....

Cristiano Ronaldo vs Robin van Persie....  CR7 vs RVP...  I won't deny that it'll be one mouth watering affair.  Kaka, Real Madrid's Brazilian midfielder said that Wayne Rooney and RVP are the men to watch.  I can't say I disagree with him.  These two are making quite a riot in the BPL especially now that Rooney's got his scoring touch again with that cracker of a goal against Norwich last week.

A late bloomer finally came out.  United's Japanese no. 26, Shinji Kagawa got his scoring groove on as he got a hat-trick (which is 3 goals in a match for you football virgins).  He's the first ever Asian player to get a hat-trick in the BPL.  So I'd say he's also another man to watch considering how good he's playing right now.

Can't wait.  I just hope that the guys in my hostel wake up though.  Other wise it's live-streaming and I gotta get out of the room.

In about 24 hours, it will either be "Glory Glory Man United" or "Hala Madrid".  You guys should know what I choose.  Glory Glory Man United!  Hehe..  Come on you Reds!!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Sometimes reconciliation is the only way to clean your conscience  :-)
