Number One For Me

Assalamualaikum, y'all!!

I don't know if any of you've heard of this but I just did and it's an eye-opener even if it is "so yesterday".

The news of the filial son in Taiwan who carried his ill mother, wrapped in a cloth, to the Chi Mei Hospital in Southern Taiwan.  Within one day if this picture being posted, it got >19,000 hits on FB.................

Lots of people scrambled to find out who this anak mithali is.  Evantually, the beans on him were spilled.  His name is Ting Tsu-Chi, 61, a retired investigator of the Ministry of Juctice's Tainan Bereau.  To prove his devotion to take care of his frail mother he, even turned down a promotion.  He had to move to Taipei City, which I assume, is far from his mother.

He couldn't let her ride a wheelchair even though she also had a broken leg because it might make her uncomfortable.  His mother, 85, had a series of heart problems and high blood pressure.

Ting, taking the bus to the hospital, carrying his mother.

Ting had a feud with his brother who also wanted to take care of their ill mother about 4 years ago.  However, they had different methods - Chinese or Western.  Ting was granted the right to care for his mother.

He went to the hospital on the 2nd of March and went back with his mother on the 5th and stayed there with her for 10 days.  On the 15th of March, his mother passed away.

:'-(

For 10 days, he stayed by his mother's side.  He said, "Everyone's doing the same thing, and I am not special.  I just did my best and stayed beside her.".  His wife said that he sounded like he was in tears every time he called to inform her about his mother's condition.  She also said that she knew she married the right man.

A strong heart he has, this Ting person.  I'm not sure if I could do what he did but all I know is I'll do whatever I can to help and care for my mother.  I can't imagine how those people without mothers or parents feel.  To lose someone who nurtured you since the day you opened your eyes in this temporary place we call Earth.  To lose a person who cared for you when everything was bleak and became the light that shined your day.  I just can't imagine.  One word comes to mind about this...........

Call her with any name you want.  Ibu, Mama, Ummi, Mummy, Mak.  It all means the same.  So to all mothers around the world, here's to you all.  And to my Ibu, you are the "Number One For Me".  Your sons and daughters-in-law love you very "strong" !!

:'-D

Here's the latest single (the title's in the picture ;-) ) from his latest album, Forgive Me, by the one and only Maher Zain.

I was a foolish little child,
Crazy things I used to,
And all the pain I put you through ,
Mama now I'm here for you.

For all the times I made you cry,
The days I told you lies,
Now it's time for you to rise,
For all the things you sacrificed.

Oh, if I could turn back time, rewind,
If I could make it undone,
I swear that I would,
I would make it up to you.

Mum, I'm all grown up now,
It's a brand new day,
I'd like to put a smile on your face everyday.
Mum, I'm all grown up now,
And it's not too late,
I'd like to put a smile on your face everyday.

And now I finally understand,
Your famous line,
About the day I'd face in time,
'Cause now I've got a child of mine.

And even though I was so bad,
I've learned so much from you,
Now I'm trying to do it too,
Love my kid the way you do.

Oh, if I could turn back time, rewind,
If I could make it undone,
I swear that I would,
I would make it up to you.

Mum, I'm all grown up now,
It's a brand new day,
I'd like to put a smile on your face everyday.
Mum, I'm all grown up now,
And it's not too late,
I'd like to put a smile on your face everyday.

You know you are the number one for me,
you know you are the number one for me.
You know you are the number one for me,
Oh, oh number one for me.

There's no one in this world that can take your place,
Oh, I'm sorry for ever taking you for granted, ooh
I will use every chance I get,
To make you smile, whenever I'm around you,
Now I will try to love you like you love me,
Only God knows how much you mean to me.

Oh, if I could turn back time, rewind,
If I could make it undone,
I swear that I would,
I would make it up to you.

Mum, I'm all grown up now,
It's a brand new day,
I'd like to put a smile on your face everyday.
Mum, I'm all grown up now,
And it's not too late,
I'd like to put a smile on your face everyday.

You know you are the number one for me,
you know you are the number one for me.
You know you are the number one for me,
Oh, oh number one for me.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P/S :  Syurga di bawah telapak kaki ibu.  Don't any of you EVER forget that.
