Suit and Tie

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, peeps!!

Somehow it seems that I only update when I'm at home.  I'm currently in Shah Alam watching the QPR-United match right now.  Nothing much has happened.  Except for the dinner.  MAG......

Yup.  It was on the 20th, last Wednesday.  Remember the audition I did about 2 weeks ago?  The audition was for this dinner.  It was ok I guess, despite the fact that I didn't perform.

Nothing much to say about it though.  All I CAN say is that I had a good time with my classmates and good friends.  I got some pictures though.  These aren't shot using my phone cos the battery was dead by the time we got psyched to take pictures.  Well, by the time I got psyched actually.  Here you go......

I didn't take any pictures of speeches or performances cos they were too far from my table.  And the fact that I was still pissed that I didn't get to perform.  Bollocks....

I also took a picture with K.D.  She plays tennis with me but now she's busy cos she's a member of a student council............

I must say that I look quite dashing.  Hehe...

And guess what I won the lucky draw too!! M30 K7.  Table 30, chair 7.  Guess what I got........

I won a friggin' printer!!!  Canon Pixma something-something.  Inkjet.  At least this made up for me not performing.

All in all it was a good night.  I'd do it again but maybe some other time for some other dinner.  And In Sya-Allah, I will be performing.  I WILL...

Well, gotta go, guys.  Stay awesome.

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: The QPR vs United game just ended.  United won 2-0 at Loftus Road.  Goals from Rafael and Giggs.

A Slice of Me

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, y'all!!

Everybody has their own personality, right?  And they have their own way of showing it.  So do I..........

Haha!!  My personalities (most of 'em) all on one small carpet.  Maybe I'll walk you guys through this.......

As you can see, there's a "Prince" bag.  That's my tennis bag.  My racquet and other equipment's in there.  I'd put my shoes in there but I didn't wanna get the carpet dirty.  I'm a very active guy.  I play all kinds of sports.  It runs in the family actually.  I just focus on football and tennis right now.  Hehe..

Next is the guitar over there.  I love music, performing and I have my own taste.  Enough said...

;-)

The shirt and jeans up there shows that I'm quite fashionable.  I dress up occasionally of course.  I have my formal side and I have my chilled-out side.  There's no wrong in being a fashionable guy right?  Haha!!

In between my jeans and guitar are a couple of novels.  I love reading, you guys.  Mostly of the fantasy genre but I guess I experiment on others too.  I do write stories myself as well.  So far I've written 4.  Only 2 of them are actually related to the other.  You guys can check it out by clicking the "My Own Self-made Stories" label.

;-)

The books above the novels are the books that I use in college.  It's not a secret that I'm an engineering student in UTM KL.  Electronic engineering to be exact.  Future audio engineer In Sya-Allah.

The red baju Melayu is my heritage.  True, my blog is in English but I am also fluent in Malay and am proud of my heritage.  I'd put my al-Quran and kain pelikat along to show that I'm a devout Muslim but I didn't wanna put the Book on the floor.

Lastly, you can see a small glass bottle on the baju Melayu.  That's actually my cologne.  I love using fragrances.  Not only for accessory reasons but also that it's a sunnah.  The Prophet P.B.U.H loves using fragrances.  So I thought I'd try.  Since I started using cologne 4 years ago, I keep buying them.  The cheaper ones of course.  Haha!!

There you go.  This explains some stuff about me but there's more to me of course.  Those close to me know this for sure.  I'm quite the eccentric.  Haha!!

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Man United take on Real Madrid in the Champions League this Thursday in the Barnabeau.  Can't wait!!

Me? Taking The Big Stage?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Assalamu'alaikum, ladies and germs!!

Y'all who know me and follow me online (FB, Twitter etc.) should know that I love music and of course I love performing.  Lately I got a chance to perform in a dinner that UTM KL will be holding on Feb 20th.  But first we had to audition first.  So we did....

Me and Lyssa up there auditioned along with Kaysie (the one who took this picture).  Lyssa and I did "Say You Like Me" by We The Kings with me singing lead vocals and lead guitar with Lyssa singing backup.  Kaysie and Lyssa did a medley, mixing Cia and David Guetta's "Titanium" and Bruno Mars's "Talking To The Moon".

The judges came by late so we had to perform first.  Everything went alright.  But then the judges (who are the fellos/wardens of the hostel) just came and thought that it was ok to be "fashionably" late and told us to audition again.  The 2nd time around, the amplifier got busted and the mic didn't work.  So of course, the 3 of us weren't chosen.  Punctuality is always a problem among us Malaysians, don't you think?

Oh well, people are different.  I DID get a chance to perform to about 20 people in that little cinema room.  Maybe I'll just make guitar covers and stuff with my friends in college, see how many hits I'll get.  Haha!!

In other news, tonight's the Man United vs Everton match.  At midnight and I'll be cheering on the Red Devils.  I often do commentary on twitter like goals, near misses and stuff like that.  You guys can follow me on Twitter @syauqistump1810.  Hehe...

See you guys on the flip side!!

P.S: Those bloody neighbours/posers lost 3-1 against Southampton at the Stadium of Light.  Another proof that Manchester is RED.
